Christmas Adopt a Family

I would like to express my deepest appreciation for the support given to Neighbor Network’s 2015 Christmas Adopt A Family Program. I am truly grateful for all those who adopted an entire family, purchased a gift(s) for a family, wrapped gifts, delivered gifts to families, or helped with the many behind the scenes tasks that go into making it all possible. A special thank you to Jim Bimstefer for the use of his moving truck, our Santa’s sled.
A total of 104 families were sponsored, with a total of 405 individuals receiving gifts. Through donations of gifts, time, resources and money we accomplished so much this holiday season. Your continued faith and support of Neighbor Network and its mission, to help those less fortunate, is truly heartwarming.
The holidays are a wonderful time for giving and I truly appreciate that you chose to give to the families supported by Neighbor Network’s Adopt A Family Program.

Thanksgiving

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I wish to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your support of Neighbor Network's 2015 Thanksgiving Basket Program. We were able to provide 150 families with a bountiful Thanksgiving meal this holiday. The generosity of our community and its willingness to reach out to complete strangers is heartwarming. Supporters donated complete Thanksgiving meal baskets, individual food items, money to purchase food for baskets, grocery gift cards, and donated their time to help sort food and deliver the baskets. This program is growing every year and it wouldn't be possible without your support.

School Backpack Thank you

I wish to express my deepest gratitude to all those who participated in Neighbor Network’s 2015 School Backpack Collection and for making this another successful year of giving. A total of 156 fully stocked backpacks were prepared for students in Howard County and Baltimore City. The agencies supported by our backpack collection were Bridges to Housing Stability of Howard County, the North Laurel Savage Multiservice Center serving Howard County, The Choice Program, and the Johns Hopkins Community Psychiatry/Child Mobile Treatment Center’s community and school based programs. I also wish to thank the students, parents and grandparents who helped to sort school supplies and assemble the backpacks. A special thanks to the Outer Office, in Fulton, for donating supplies and delivering 70 backpacks for us.
